Shawnee Smith (born July 3, 1970, height 5' 3 is an American TV and film actress as well as a musician. Smith is best known for her role by the name of Amanda Young from the Saw films and as Linda for the CBS comedy Becker. Smith was once a member of the metal band Fydolla Ho, with whom she toured the United States and the United Kingdom as well as being a member of Smith & Pyle a rock group that features the actress Missi Pyle. Shawnee Smith is the daughter of Jim Smith, a former US Air Force Pilot and financial planner, who also worked as an oncology nursing. Smith was born in Orangeburg South Carolina. Following her move from South Carolina, her family moved to Van Nuys California. Her mother had remarried eight years after her divorce. She was a student at Ranchito Avenue Primary School in Panorama City Los Angeles as and Madison Jr. High, located in North Hollywood. She was a graduate of North Hollywood High School, North Hollywood California in 1987. Rachel Bunch's performance in Crazy Ex Girlfriend has earned many awards, which included the Golden Globe Award in 2018 for the Best Female Actress in a the TV series Musical or Comedy. The actress was recognized with the Critics Choice Award in 2017 as the Best Actress in a TV Comedy. She was also awarded the Primetime Emmy Award in 2019 for Outstanding Original Music & Lyrics with songwriting partners Jack Dolgen & the late Adam Schlesinger. In the present, Rachel will be on a spring-summer 2023 live show tour with her band Death Let Me Do My Special. In 2019, Rachel sold out Radio City Music Hall when she performed Crazy Ex-Girlfriend: Live as part of a multi-show tour. In the same year she was also featured in her solo show What am I going to Do with My Life now? Included in the residency was the entire week of live shows at Just For Laughs.
